Last night, Mike and I along with Baxter and Mike's dad went on a gorgeous boat ride around Duxbury Harbor. It was so beautiful although a little cool. Baxter was afraid to get into the boat so Mike had to pick him up which isn't easy since Baxter is 90 lbs. We're trying to get him used to his sea legs. He was out in the boat with us a few times last summer but we plan to get him out on the water every weekend this summer.
We spent about a good 2 hours just cruising around the harbor. By the end of the night Baxter seemed more comfortable being on the boat. We had a near scare last year when he was just a pup. We saw some friends on the beach and they were calling for Baxter so he decided to jump off the bow as our boat was going towards the beach. The engine was off since we were coasting in and Mike's friends ran down the beach to grab the little guy. Needless, to say I'm planning to buy Baxter a life jacket this summer.
