Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's been awhile since our last posting. We had a wonderful holiday season and are so excited for 2008! Let's see Christmas Eve we hosted a "secret santa swap" at our house with Mike's family and then headed over to his cousin's "Baby Jesus" party. This is annual tradition that Mike's family does on Christmas Eve. All the children sing Happy Birthday, to baby Jesus and blow out candles on his birthday cake.

Mike and I woke up early and opened presents with of course, Baxter. Santa brought him a new LL Bean dog bed which he loved. He's been sleeping on our couch lately so we hope that he likes his new dog bed instead. After exchanging gifts with each other, we packed up the wagon and headed down to the Cape. We spent Christmas Day with my family and spent the afternoon opening presents, eating peppermint bark, and just relaxing. After dinner we headed over to the O'Connell family to say a quick hello and to wish them a Merry Christmas.

The next day, we headed home and Mike started working on the latest home renovation project, our upstairs bathroom. He had the week off from work so he made alot of progress and with the help of friends, the plumbing has been done, a new sub floor has been laid, and they installed a new pocket door to allow for more space in the bathroom.

We rang in the New Year by going out for Chinese food and then headed over to our friends, Meghan & Peter's house. It was a wonderful holiday season with lots of parties and it was great to catch up with family and friends. We are really looking forward to see what 2008 brings!
