Mike's new job

Mike started his new job last week at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth, MA. Although he enjoyed working in the boat yard in Duxbury, it was time for a change. He will be a nuclear operator along with several other maritime grads. His marine engineering degree allows him to operate power plants on a ship or shoreside so this was a perfect fit, and it's close to home. He will be in training for the first 4-6 months and then will begin a rotating shift schedule that will change every 6 weeks. They will give him his schedule a year in advance so we can plan around it ahead of time. As for now, he is enjoying the shorter work schedule (he has every other Friday off while in training) which is great for the summer months!
