Sneak Peak at Baby M

This week we had a Level II ultrasound at South Shore Hospital. This was part of our routine first trimester screening in which they do a Nuchal Translucency ultrasound. The NT ultrasound can assess the baby's risk of having Down syndrome and some other chromosomal abnormalities as well as major congenital heart problems. Our ultrasound showed that Baby M is well within normal limits!

Mike enjoyed seeing the baby at this ultrasound since he hasn't seen him/her since our very first ultrasound at 6 weeks. He was amazed at how much the little one has grown and it was fun to see him/her kicking and moving all around. Here is a close up shot of the baby's face. You can see his/her lips and nose pretty good. We plan to find out the sex at our next ultrasound on June 20th so stay tuned!
